On the 29th of May, the infra team of WEB NV successfully completed the Flovac operators training course held on the Caribbean island of Bonaire. During the last few years, a complete Flovac vacuum sewerage system has been installed on this island. In total there are 1100 different connections to the system, including Hotels, resorts and private houses. With 4 vacuum stations and 601 Flovac valve pits, it is the largest Flovac system in the Caribbean.
To keep the system in good condition, a complete training course has been done by the infra team of WEB NV to be able to do both preventive and corrective maintenance on the system. The infra team is trained to localise and fix problems with the least inconvenience to local residents. Furthermore the training focused on the operations and optimisation of the system. The last part of the training consisted of the rebuilding of the controller. On a special testing table supplied by Flovac, the infra team completed the course by rebuilding, calibrating and testing the Flovac controller.
We as Flovac want to congratulate the WEB NV infra team with the completion of the trainings course and hope they will enjoy maintaining our vacuum system on this beautiful island. Special thanks goes to Hans Staring, manager Bonaire sewerage and sanitation system, and Hendrik Herrmann the Flovac expert on Bonaire.
